Kelly’s Professional Bio

In addition to his role leading TRHC, Kelly Coughlin is the principal of EveryDayCPA – a firm specializing in helping both individuals and businesses with: minimizing past, current and future taxes; accounting and budgeting; and business entity formation, strategy and risk management. TRHC benefits from Kelly's over 25 years of tax preparation and resolution experience along with business acumen gained as founder/CEO of GlobalBridge, Inc. and during stints at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Lloyds Bank. He is licensed by the states of Minnesota and Wyoming as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Kelly has an MBA from Babson College and is a member of the AICPA.

Why Kelly Started Tax Resolution Help Center

As the principal of EveryDayCPA, Inc., Kelly was well positioned to understand the stress that overdue tax balances can cause individuals and business owners. Tax regulations can be overwhelming; over 70% of taxpayers with overdue tax balances do nothing to resolve their issues. Kelly envisioned a better way, grounded in the belief that knowledge is power. He created Tax Resolution Help Center Company, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that utilizes tax resolution experts providing pro-bono services to teach taxpayers how they can resolve their own tax balances. Kelly believes that tax resolution experts can do well by doing good, so he paired that non-profit with an entity where those very same experts could assist taxpayers who wanted more tax resolution options at reasonable rates informed by TRHC's non-profit ethos.

In short, Kelly created TRHC because he knew that there was a need for a different tax resolution model, one based in service, not driven by lien chasers or "tax experts" who don't care what happens to you as long as they get paid. Created because Kelly had the right combination of leadership, management, and tax resolution skills, TRHC is now here to help individuals and families live happier, healthier lives without the stress and anxiety caused by tax collectors' threats to seize assets, income and property. Kelly’s Personal Bio

When not boxing with the IRS and state tax collectors, Kelly loves to box in the ring at the gym! To manage stress and stay fit and healthy, he runs daily. To keep his mind fit, he reads Sun Tzu, Caesar and Yeats. Born and reared in land-locked Topeka, KS, his passion is nonetheless the sea: sailing and scuba diving. He splits his time between his four daughters in the Kansas City area, his financée in Minnesota and, in winter,  the warmer climes of Florida and Texas.
